In 1997, with the assistance of Dr. Denis Boubals, the French Bordeaux wine scholar, Mr. C.K. Chan and Mr. Sylvain Janvier from France founded Grace Vineyard in Taigu, Jinzhong, on the Loess Plateau in China.
In 1998, they planted over 100,000 grape seedlings, imported from France, including varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir, covering an area of over 3,000 acres. These vineyards are located in the villages of Dongjia, Dongbu, Neijia, and Hao in a 10-kilometer radius around the winery.
Named 'Grace Vineyard,' it conveys the meaning of a 'serene garden that brings joy to the heart.' The intention is for friends who appreciate Grace Vineyard to see it as a tranquil haven, much like their own backyard, where they can enjoy premium wines and indulge in a pleasant atmosphere with their loved ones.
